By Micah Richards | In My Week
I’ve had a busy week so far, what with one match played and another to come on Thursday evening. Read about my thoughts on the Uefa Cup clash below, as well as Lewis Hamilton’s world championship win in Formula One and Shaun Wright-Phillips’ appalling fashion choice.
Shaun Wright-Phillips playing for Manchester City
I missed the Brazil grand prix on Sunday but I watched the replay when I got home from the Manchester City game. Hamilton winning the Formula One World Championship was a really big thing; the whole nation was behind him and under immense pressure he did what he needed to do and won the championship. I enjoy watching Formula 1 and was really pleased to see him win.
I’m looking forward to playing against FC Twente in the Uefa cup this week. I think it’s really important we get the three points and I will do all I can to ensure we do. They have a good manager in Steve McClaren, and they look like a strong side that has started well in the Eredivisie this season.
We’re playing Tottenham at the weekend and it will be an interesting match as they seem rejuvenated under their new manager Harry Redknapp and have put together a good run in their last few games.
Off the field, last week Shaun Wright-Phillips coming into training with Ugg boots on which was an offence to fashion. I’m not too sure what he was thinking, and I had to have a word with him!
I was delighted to see my good friend Ishmael Miller score in his last two games he is a fast and powerful striker with good feet and great strength. I always knew it was just a matter of time before he started scoring, and I hope he carries on his good form and continues finding the back of the net.
