Micah has made great progress in his fight back to fitness having missed recent weeks with a hamstring strain, and he has also been included in the England U21s squad for the European Championships.
Having impressed throughout the campaign, Micah sustained the injury whilst captaining England U21s, and he has done everything in his powers to get back before the season finishes – including sleeping in an oxygen tank.
Despite initial diagnosis ruling him out for much of the final part of the season, Micah put himself in line for a start in the FA Cup semi-final clash with Manchester United, only to tweak the injury again the day before.
However, his rehabilitation has been such that he may be in line for an appearance in the Premier League against Everton this weekend, and he has also been included in the England U21s squad for the European Championships in Denmark.
Stuart Pearce has included Micah alongside other established Premier League performers this term such as Chris Smalling, Jack Wilshere and Daniel Sturridge.
