Mohamed Salah scored his ninth goal of the season as Fiorentina regained their footing to secure a 3-0 win over already-relegated Parma.
The win – their third league victory in a row – came on the back of La Viola’s exit from the Europa League at the hands of Sevilla last week, and moved Vincenzo Montella’s side back up to fifth in Series A.
Gonzalo Rodriguez headed Fiorentina in front after 13 minutes, before Alberto Gilardino doubled the advantage after half an hour with a header of his own.
The result was never really in doubt from then on, with the in-form Salah sealing the win with a third having taken one touch to evade his marker and slot home. Gilardino had another effort disallowed for offside soon after.
The victory all but seals the club’s place in the Europe League next season, needing just one win from their final two league outings.
