Fiorentina secured a 3-1 win over Sassuolo to keep alive their hopes of a Champions League spot, with Micah playing the full game for Vincenzo Montella’s men.
New-boy Mohamed Salah was influential throughout, netting the opening goal before a Khouma Babacar brace sealed the win.
Salah was handed his full debut by Montella and made an impact within half an hour, racing onto Babacar’s flick and slotting into the left hand corner.
Goalscorer turned provider soon after as Salah set Babacar up for his first, threading a through-ball and seeing his teammate beat Andrea Consigli to make it 2-0.
David Pizarro’s incisive ball over the top set Babacar up for his second and Fiorentina’s third, and whilst Domenico Berardi pulled a consoltation back, the away side comfortably saw the game out to move within four points of third place, albeit temporarily.
