It’s been a brilliant week for Manchester on the whole, with City’s excellent win against Arsenal followed by Ricky Hatton’s boxing success!

Ricky Hatton wins against Paul Malignaggi

First of all I would like to congratulate Ricky on his win in Las Vegas. I stayed up and watched the fight as I didn’t have training the following day, and though it was a close contest, it just seemed like Ricky was too strong and way too sharp for Paul Malignaggi. It finished in the 11th round but every time the ‘Hitman’ hit him flush, Malignaggi stumbled and was hanging on.

On Tuesday I went bowling in the Trafford centre, which is always a good laugh. I went with some family and friends and won easily, but to be fair my opponents were not the best! I can’t remember what score I got but I was miles ahead of everyone else, and the victory never looked in doubt.

Everyone around the club is still buzzing after Sunday’s game against Arsenal – it was an absolutely massive win for us. I felt, as a team, it was our best display of the season. The defence was really strong and going forward we were even better. We scored some good goals, especially Robinho’s which was a piece of magic, but he does the same thing in training every week. It was a really cheeky finish and our keepers in training hate it when he does it as it’s embarrassing!

We have two really big games this week, beginning with Schalke away in the Uefa Cup. They have some great players and we’ll need to play close attention to their top scorer Kevin Kuranyi in particular. We’re travelling to Germany with the intention of bringing the three points back, so it should be a really exciting game.

The second match is on Sunday against Manchester United, and you don’t get many games bigger than that. In the derby last season we got the better of them so they’ll be looking to reverse it this time round. I’m excited to be part of the game as it’s one of the fixtures I look out for, and also one of the biggest fixtures in the world. They will be favourites to win but I think we’re certainly capable of upsetting them.

A lot of people have been asking if I have a username online on ps3. I do and if you leave your own tag below, I’ll give you a game next time I get a chance to play. I look forward to testing my gaming skills against you all!
