By Rhonda Richards | In US Pre-Season Tour
In the latest installment of the US Tour: Micah¹s diary series, the 22-year old details what the squad have been up to, sets the record straight and reveals which players most impress during gym sessions.
The young defender has been charged with the task of chronicling City’s pre season camp in America, even to the finer details such as the squad’s diet.
Following an intense session in the gym, Micah was keen to state that his larger, muscular frame is entirely due to his genes rather than training. The youngster revealed, in fact, that Vincent Kompany and Wayne Bridge are the star performers when it comes to weights despite the presence of other likely candidates.
Micah also hinted at the way in which the players are nearing match fitness due to the long and varied training sessions, ensuring the squad are primed for the beginning of the Premier League season in August.

As I told you in the last diary we were in the gym yesterday for a session which we were all ready for after the running!
People keep asking me about weights and stuff but I can honestly tell you that I don’t do any. It is all just God given muscle!!
I was working on strengthening my knees but others were pumping the weights. I bet if I gave everyone a guess at who the beasts in the gym are they wouldn’t get the names right straight away.
Vincent Kompany and Wayne Bridge are the two who really stand out when it comes to lifting. Vinnie is so competitive in everything he does. He trains intensely and he works in the gym the same way but Bridgey gives him a run for his money; he is really wiry and strong.
