With the season now finished I wanted to say a quick thank you to all the fans that have supported us throughout an up-and-down season this term.
I was delighted that we managed to end the season on a high in beating Bolton 1-0, and I’m sure the gaffer will now go away and look at how we can come back stronger in August.
On a personal level I wanted the season to carry on. I had a difficult time with injuries early on, and it knocked me off my stride slightly in the middle part of the campaign.
However, in recent games I felt like I was getting my form and fitness back to the level I want it to be at, and most importantly I was managing to find some consistency.
It will just make me all the more determined to return from the summer refreshed and ready to go as I, like all the other City players, look to get the club up the league and challenging for European places.
I know many of you have been asking what the wristband I was wearing during the game on Sunday was for. It said If U Care Share on it, promoting a campaign that is looking to encourage young people to talk about their problems rather than hide them from their friends and family.
It’s a project that I have been involved in for a few months now and I was only too happy to wear the wristband to help spread the word of what If U Care Share does. You can get the wristbands from the If U Care Share website directly, and the people involved will also go into schools over the next few months so keep your eye out for that.
I’m sure there’ll be lots of speculation surrounding the club from now until the next season begins, while I may also be involved with the England U21s this summer.
Therefore, keep visiting my website and I’ll be sure to answer all of your questions, keep you up-to-date with everything that’s been happening in both my life and City’s, and give you my thoughts on the England U21s.
You’ve been brilliant over the last few months so thank you again, and look forward to seeing you all again in August!
