Micah has been included in Stuart Pearce’s 18-man squad for the London Olympics alongside Ryan Giggs and Craig Bellamy.
With the Olympics in London just weeks away, Micah has been called up to represent Great Britain at the Games as one of the three over-23 players.
Micah enjoyed a fantastic season for Manchester City as Roberto Mancini’s men secured the Premier League title, earning himself a nomination as Etihad’s Player of the Year in the process.
On being called up, Micah said:
“I’m delighted to have been called up and honoured to have the chance to represent Team GB at the London Olympics. When I got the call from Stuart Pearce, who gave me my debut at Manchester City and has been a massive support throughout my career, I was over the moon.”
Team GB’s first game is against Senegal at Old Trafford, and Micah will join up with the rest of the squad later this week.
