A jubilant Micah gave his thoughts on Manchester City’s FA Cup semi-final win over arch-rivals Manchester United, saying he “loved” the encounter.
Although Micah – who scored the winning goal against Reading to send City into the semi-final – was left disappointed when he was ruled out of the game on Saturday morning having tweaked the injury in training, he was delighted his teammates claimed the win that sends them into the FA Cup final with Stoke City.
And the 22-year old – whose been in fine form this campaign – is hopeful of overcoming injury to feature in the clash having been set to start against the Red Devils at the weekend
City grabbed the lead when Yaya Toure stormed through United’s defence after 52 minutes and slotted the ball home, and a resolute performance in both attack and defence saw Roberto Mancini’s side hold out for the victory.
They now face Stoke City in the final after they cruised to a 5-0 win in their semi-final against Bolton Wanderers, with the final at Wembley Stadium on 14 May.
