Micah has been called up by Fabio Capello to the England squad for Wednesday’s friendly against France.
The 22-year old has 11 full England caps to his name and had already been named in the England U21 squad as captain by Stuart Pearce on Friday.
However, a number of impressive displays by Micah for Manchester City this season, including a foraging performance against Arsenal in the Premier League, have seen him included for the Three Lions.
Other notable call ups include Cardiff City striker Jay Bothroyd, Newcastle United forward Andy Carroll and Manchester United defender Chris Smalling.
Micah is also joined by City teammates Joe Hart, Gareth Barry, James Milner, Lescott and Adam Johnson.
