Micah and his Manchester City teammates continued their pre-season campaign in South Africa, before flying to Asia to take part in the Barclays Asia Trophy.
Manuel Pellegrini’s men took on AmaZulu FC in their second pre-season outing, with Micah playing the first 45 minutes and impressing at right-back. AmaZulu took the lead after 20 minutes when a loose ball back to Joe Hart by Aleksander Kolarov was intercepted by Bongani Ndulula, who rounded the stopper before knocking the ball home.
City leveled six minutes later when Scott Sinclair’s ball was flicked on by Yaya Toure, and James Milner fired home from a narrow angle. However, they were undone after the break – with Pablo Zabeleta coming on for Micah among a host of changes – when Marc Van Heerden beat Costel Pantilimon from the penalty spot.
The squad flew to Hong Kong and will take on South China in their next friendly fixture on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Micah and the players have continued their antics off-the-pitch, and you can get an inside look at what they’ve been up to over at the official Manchester city site.
Remember – there’s a chance to win a Manchester City shirt signed by Micah himself over at the PFA’s official Facebook page for the defender.
