Manchester City grabbed a late goal to secure a 1-1 draw away at Juventus in the Europa League, with Micah named skipper for the game.
With qualification to the last 32 of the competition already assured, Roberto Mancini rung the changes as City travelled to Turin.
And Micah was making his presence felt early on as the visitors had a great opportunity to grab the lead, with the 22-year old racing down the right and picking Jo out only for the Brazilian to miss the target from two yards.
Mohamed Sissoko caused a fright at the back as he attempted to chest the ball back to Alex Manninger, and the Austrian had to tip the ball round the post to avoid an embarrassment.
The initial pace of the game dipped dramatically as neither side appeared willing to commit men forward, though a header from Micah with seven minutes of the first half remaining rebounded off the post – though the whistle had already gone.
However, the hosts grabbed the lead with two minutes remaining as Alessandro Del Piero’s ball picked out Nicolo Gianetti who turned the ball passed Shay Given to make it 1-0.
City attacked with renewed energy in the second-half and Jo had the ball in the back of the net after chesting and firing passed Manninger, only for the effort to be ruled out.
There was a let out for City soon after as Gianetti just failed to turn home a close-range effort, and a follow up effort struck Jerome Boateng and went behind.
However, just as the game looked destined to end in a Juventus win, City seized an equaliser with a well-taken effort by Jo.
The striker controlled and turned in one movement before firing home, making amends for the several chances he squandered earlier in the encounter.
Several changes were made for both sides as the game petered out, suiting City who finish top of the group and are therefore seeded for the next stage of the competition.
