Micah was among the substitutes for Fiorentina as he recovered from a hamstring strain as La Viola suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to Lazio.
An uneventful first half an hour saw Fiorentina struggle to set the tempo, though just as they appeared to be finding their groove, the visitors seized the lead. Filip Dordevic beat Stefan Savic to the ball before directing home to make it 1-0, somewhat against the run of play.
The hosts were much improved after the break, and Alberto Aquilani went close with an acrobatic overhead kick that ricocheted off the post. As the clock ticked away, however, the home side became increasingly nervy, and from a counter Lazio doubled their lead. Senad Lulic it was who, after a three-on-one attack, tapped home to make it 2-0 and seal the win for his side – their third a row.
