Micah has been chronicling Manchester City’s pre-season trip to the USA as he blogs for the club’s official website.
With a few days of rest before I head off to Sweden with the England U21s I thought I’d give you a quick update as to what’s been happening in the last week or so.
With the season now finished I wanted to say a quick thank you to all the fans that have supported us throughout an up-and-down season this term.
Micah joined cousin Jay, an up-and-coming artist from Leeds, in the BBC 1Xtra studios as the Manchester City defender’s cousin promoted his debut single.
We’re all looking forward to putting the disappointment of last week behind us and are fired up ahead of the second-leg against Hamburg – hopefully we can take some attacking inspiration from last night’s Champions League game.
Having struggled to shake off the hamstring strain that saw him sit out the final minutes of Manchester City’s 1-0 win over Sunderland as well as two England under-21 fixtures, Micah has given MicahRichards.com an update on his fitness.
I’ve just grabbed a quick few minutes from training with England U21s to look back on a positive week for Manchester City as well as me personally.
We’ve had a busy week in training as we look to hit back following the disappointment against Chelsea, and I also took part in a photoshoot for the Bobby Moore Fund.
I’ve had a frustrating week watching the City squad from the touchlines, but the result and performance against Aston Villa is another sign of what we can do when we hit form.
Just a quick blog from me for now as we’re getting ready for the match tonight, though I have time to tell you there have been more pranks at the City training ground.
It’s been an up and down week for a number of reasons, but City are starting to find consistency in the league which bodes well for the remainder of the Premier League season.
This week I jetted out to Tenerife for a mid-season training camp with the rest of the Manchester City squad, though I still had time to read with surprise my name linked with a move away from the club.
The transfer window is in full swing, with new signing Wayne Bridge already settling in to his new surroundings, and I’ve had a really good week as I build up to our match with Wigan.
Speculation has increased over the last week as to which players would be arriving at Manchester City, something I mentioned in my last blog, and I’ve had loads of questions as to who my own signings would be.
Christmas has been and gone and we had a good festive period at City, including the demolition of Hull City and our last outing against Blackburn Rovers.
It’s almost Christmas and I just wanted to take the time out to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
We’re getting close to the mid-point of the season so I thought it would be good to do a round-up of the Premier League campaign so far and, if you like it, I’ll do one each week for the previous round of matches.
I’ve had an exciting week on a few different fronts so far, making my return from injury, appearing in an Adidas photo shoot, team-building at bowling and getting ready to travel to Spain for our Uefa Cup match. Oh, and I managed to catch the final of the X-Factor!
Many of you have been sending in your questions about different topics since the website was launched, from my favourite cars to my favourite footballers.
Another week gone and another week closer to Christmas, a time of the year I really look forward to, as it means we have plenty of opportunities to move up the premier league table whilst spending some quality time with family and friends.
I’ve reached a major milestone in what has been a busy week of football at Manchester City so far, but I also managed to find time for a family meal at my house to say thank you to a few people that have helped me along the way.
It’s been a brilliant week for Manchester on the whole, with City’s excellent win against Arsenal followed by Ricky Hatton’s boxing success!
Yet another busy week for me to report on, with more boxing for me to keep track on as well as a massive game coming up for Manchester City. Along with that, I was re-called by Fabio Capello for England, so all in all I’ve been in a good mood!
As usual, I have had a busy but exciting week, from watching Joe Calzaghe’s win to visiting my home town of Leeds, and in reference to many of your questions I still also found time to play on my computer games!

I’ve been looking back over my career and reflecting on the best bits so far over the last few days, and one definite highlight for me was my first ever goal for Manchester City’s senior side against Aston Villa in the FA Cup.
Although I spend most of my time either in training or on the pitch, I do actually find time to take part other activities with my friends and family. I am just like any other regular 20 year at heart and my likes & dislikes, hobbies and pet hates are probably very similar to yours.
