Manchester City were shocked by Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup as the Championship side ended the hosts’ hopes of a quadruple, once again proving to be City’s bogey side in the competition as they emerged with a 2-1 victory to move into the semi-final.
Manchester City fought back from a goal down to seal a 3-1 win over Sunderland in the Capital One Cup final, securing the first of potentially four pieces of silverware despite an indifferent performance.
